Dr. Hildebrandt received his undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry at Northern Illinois University where he played football on an athletic scholarship. He graduated with Honors from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1978, followed by three years of specialty training in anesthesia, and a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He has been practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery in Colorado Springs since 1981 and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Also being very involved in the community, Dr. Hildebrandt has served on the Board of Directors for Silver Key, the Colorado Springs Dental Society, Tri-Lakes Athletic Association, Penrose-St. Francis Hospital Credentials Committee, and is currently on the Board of Directors of Tri-Lakes Monument Fire Protection District. Dr. Hildebrandt is past President of the Academy for Sports Dentistry and has authored a chapter on sports dentistry in Clinics in Sports Medicine; he has been, and continues to be, an active consultant for the United States Olympic Training Center since 1981. He has a black belt in, and previously taught, Tae Kwon Do in Monument.
Dr. Hildebrandt and his wife, Bonnie, married in 1978. Together they have raised their two children Kelsey and Daniel. They share many interests, in addition to their children, including boating, scuba diving, photography, hockey and skiing. Their latest love is their little grandchildren Breckyn and Colton.
