Dr. Pennau received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from St. Olaf College where he also played four years of NCAA, Division III football, and competed in amateur boxing.  After undergraduate training, Dr. Pennau worked as a dental laboratory technician for one year before moving to Seattle, WA for dental school.  He graduated as a member of OKU honor society and was on the Dean’s List at the University of Washington, School of Dentistry.  He stayed on at the University of Washington for another four years of specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery.  He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Pennau’s professional skills and interests cover a wide scope of the practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery including wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, bone grafting and preprosthetic surgery, IV sedation and general anesthesia, orthognathic and reconstructive surgery, facial trauma, and oral pathology.  He is on medical staff at Memorial, Memorial North, Children’s Hospital, Penrose and St. Francis.

Dr. Pennau and his wife relocated to Colorado Springs with their two young children in 2013 and purchased the practice in 2015.  They are excited to raise their children and invest in the Colorado Springs community for many years to come.
